The Queen City Juvenile Pipes & Drums came about thanks to the dedication of local pipers and drummers in the Charlotte area who wanted to promote the Great Scottish Highland Bagpipes and its percussion accompaniment to the younger generations. We got started by getting our 501 (c) (3) status, putting together a business plan and taking the huge leap off the cliff! The support so far has been very encouraging. Our goal is to have a competitive Juvenile Band by 2016.

As the band was recently upgraded to Grade 4, we opened up the membership to both Juveniles and Adults alike, with the goal of rebuilding the Grade 5 Band as strictly a juvenile organization.

The Band rehearses at East Charlotte Presbyterian Church in Charlotte 10101 Robinson Church Road on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:30pm. A 10 week introductory course is given several times a year.
